Indian captain Rohit Sharma scored a total of 11 runs in both innings of the first Test against Bangladesh. However, he has a rare achievement in his account.
He scored 1000 runs this year. Rohit scored 1,001 runs in 27 matches across all three formats in the 2024 calendar year. This includes 157 runs in three ODIs, 378 runs in 11 T20Is and 466 runs in seven Tests. In this order, Rohit became the oldest captain and became the first player to score more than a thousand runs in a calendar year. Rohit is currently 37 years and 144 days old.
