One of the revolutionary decisions taken by Revanth Reddy after becoming the Chief Minister of Telangana was the demolition of illegal buildings in Hyderabad. With the instructions of the CM, HYDRA is very aggressive in demolishing illegal structures.
HYDRA demolished several buildings, including the N Convention, owned by veteran actor Akkineni Nagarjuna worth hundreds of crores, on the grounds that they were built in violation of norms. But when the constructions of the big boys were being demolished, there was a positive response from the people, but when it came to the common people, there were differences of opinion.
Whether they know it or not, they may have violated the rules. But it is a fact that their lives are suddenly turned upside down as the houses built with the money they have saved throughout their lives are being demolished.
RK bluntly said that demolishing thousands of houses in the name of occupation will lead to opposition among the people. RK said that innocent people are being made homeless due to the actions of HYDRA.. It does not matter if farmhouses and guest houses are built in violation of the rules and demolished, but it is not good to demolish houses built by the middle class with permission from the government.
RK said that there is nothing wrong in wanting to develop the Musi project.. but encroachments have taken place in its area for decades.. thousands of houses have been constructed.. it is not possible to remove all of them as it is now.
He opined that it should be remembered that the people did not want the Musi project. He said that there was a positive response from the people when the farms of the big boys were demolished.. but now they are protesting after seeing the scenes of common people lying on the roads.. Ponds, reservoirs and FTL buffer zones are not being decided. RK believes that the government will get a very bad name.
