Mumbai: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that the victory of the ruling ‘Mahayuti’ alliance in the Maharashtra Assembly elections is a matter of course and that the three parties will work for the development of the state with a minimum joint program. He said in a special interview on Saturday that his alliance will win 175 seats in the assembly elections to be held on November 20. The NCP chief expressed confidence that he will win from the Baramati constituency with a margin of at least one lakh votes.
Ajith said that North politics and South politics are different and Maharashtra elections are completely different. He said that since 1985, a single party has not achieved an absolute majority in Maharashtra and this time too, the situation will be the same. He said that to form a government in Maharashtra, one must take help from one another. When asked about the ticket to Nawab Malik, he said that it was not his decision alone but the tickets were given by the coalition. He said that ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi’ had spread false propaganda on the slogan given on 400 plus seats in the Lok Sabha elections and spread false propaganda that if this happens they will change the constitution, stop reservations and declare the country as a Hindu country. He said that nothing like this can happen in this country.
Talking about the scandal in the Pawar family, they said that their MLAs had told Sharad Pawar many times that they would join the government, but at that time he announced his retirement and then took it back. Sharad Pawar said that no one can tell what is in his mind and finally Supriya Sule can’t tell. Ajit Pawar explained that he is not a traitor, he is in the party, the party symbol is also with him, the Speaker of the Assembly has allocated the symbol to them and now it is before the Supreme Court.
