Railway construction underway in Amaravati, marking significant development under Chandrababu Naidu's leadership.

Amaravati Railway: Since Nara Chandrababu Naidu resumed office as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, significant developments have revitalized Amaravati, the state’s capital. Previously sidelined, the proposal for a railway line to Amaravati, shelved under the YSR Congress Party, has now gained momentum. A recent gazette notification has been issued for land acquisition without requiring state funding, marking it as a special project by the Railway Department.

The proposed new railway line will connect Errupalem on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad route to Namburu on the Guntur-Vijayawada line, passing through Amaravati. It will include nine stations: Peddapuram, Chinnaravupalem, Gottumukkala, Paritala, Kothapeta, Vaddamanu, Amaravati, Tadikonda, and Kopparavuru. Major stations like Amaravati will anchor the line, which will also feature a three-kilometer bridge over the Krishna River between Kothapeta and Vaddamanu.
