In AP, low pressure will be formed in north-central Bay of Bengal due to the south-easterly current in Bay of Bengal. The IMD said that it may intensify and become a cyclone.
As a result, heavy rains may occur in AP, said the Meteorological Department.
Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred in many districts of Andhra Pradesh due to the recent cyclone formation in the Bay of Bengal. Due to heavy rains and floods, many parts of Krishna and Guntur districts are trapped in waterlogging. They are just getting out of the flood. In this order, once again the storm warning is causing concern.
According to the IMD, heavy rains are likely to occur in Kakinada, Alluri Seetharamaraju, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Konaseema, Anakapalli, NTR and West Godavari districts in the next 5-6 days. Gusty winds will blow at a speed of 30-40 km along the coast. The authorities have issued an alert to the fishermen not to go hunting in the sea.
Vizianagaram, Alluri Seetharamaraju, West Godavari, Krishna, Srikakulam and Parvathipuram Manyam districts of AP will receive light rains today as well.
