AP Assembly 2024: The Assembly has convened since the new government was formed, and today the newly elected MLAs will take an oath of office in front of the protem speaker. The classes are scheduled to start at 9:46 am today and tomorrow.

Nara Chandrababu Naidu had vowed not to enter the Assembly until he regained his position as Chief Minister. He has fulfilled this promise and will be entering the Assembly as the state’s Chief Minister.

Notablely, Power Star Pawan Kalyan, who lost the 2019 elections, will be making his first appearance in the Assembly as Andhra Pradesh’s deputy chief minister.

Following a significant defeat, the YSRCP has lost its status as the opposition party, and its elected representatives will attend the Assembly as ordinary MLAs without any special privileges.

Protem Speaker Gorantla will announce the notification for the election of the Speaker in the House. Additionally, CM Chandrababu Naidu and TDP MLAs will pay tribute to the NTR statue at Venkatapalem.

For the next five years, the Assembly proceedings will be intriguing to follow, especially with YS Jagan attending as an ordinary MLA.
