The AP Cabinet has approved several key decisions. In a meeting held for about four hours, the Cabinet gave its seal of approval to the new liquor policy in AP.
While providing quality liquor in the state, the price of a quarter should be Rs 99 on an average. The pending volunteer system was discussed at length in the cabinet meeting.
Approval of Liquor Policy
The new excise policy was approved in the AP cabinet meeting. Henceforth it was decided to entrust the management of liquor shops to private individuals. Sale of all kinds of brands of liquor will be allowed as before. According to the new liquor policy, the liquor shops will be issued a notification in two to three days. A decision was taken in the cabinet that quality liquor should be priced at an average of Rs 99 per quarter.
Above the volunteers
The cabinet has given its seal of approval to the package announced for the flood affected areas. It was decided in the cabinet meeting that Bhogapuram airport should be named after Alluri Sitaramaraj. The continuation of the volunteer system was discussed at length in the cabinet meeting. The promise of Rs 10,000 as honorarium to the volunteers if they come to power was discussed above. However, there is an opinion expressed that the existing volunteers should be continued as per the need.
Solving public problems
It is reported that there was a difference of opinion on the reinstatement of the resigned volunteers. They have decided to provide assistance to those who have lost their crops in floods. Chief Minister Chandrababu suggested that the complaints coming to the Prajadarbar should be sent to the concerned departments. Ministers in charge of the district will be appointed soon. The CM congratulated the ministers who worked well during the floods.
