The newly appointed Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Anitha Vangalapudi, tackled a pressing issue concerning the AP Police during her recent interaction with top police officials. She issued a clear warning to officers who had previously supported the YCP during their service.

Anitha highlighted that certain police officers were acting on YCP’s directives and were involved in various anti-social activities during the previous administration. She warned these officers of severe repercussions and urged those still loyal to Jagan to resign from their posts.

“If you still support Jagan, then resign from your police duties and join YCP as leaders. Under my tenure, there will be no room for political biases. Law and order must be upheld at all times,” Anitha asserted.

TDP members have commonly protested about the abuse of police power to intimidate their leadership over the previous five years of Jagan’s rule. A number of officers were accused of operating against TDP supporters while influenced by YCP MLAs and leaders.

Anitha’s address prioritizes this concern, aiming to provide relief to the TDP members who have faced such issues.
