Bajaj Chetak : The competition between the giant companies in the electric two-wheeler sector is steadily increasing. They are gradually increasing their market share in EV sales.
Especially between TVS and Bajaj there is a tough competition in this regard. While TVS was in the second position after Ola for many years, Bajaj Chetak took over that position in September. On the other hand, Ola Electric continues to be at the top with the highest sales, but its market share is declining.
Ola has been leading the electric market for years by offering scooters with better features at lower prices. Although the position is still strong in the month of September, the company’s market share is gradually shrinking due to the competition from Bajaj Auto and TVS. There are no reasons for this. To compete with Ola, these two companies have brought Chetak and iCube models at more affordable prices.
Second reason is consumer dissatisfaction with Ola service centers. Meanwhile, Bajaj and TVS already have a wide network. Although Hero MotoCorp has also entered the EV race under the name of Vida, it is not able to meet the demand due to a little delay. It is recording sales of 4 thousand units consistently.
