A part of PM Modi’s three-day visit to the United States, the event was centered on India’s growth as an emerging role player in the global scenario of technology and innovation, offering potential opportunities for digital solutions as well.
Julie Sweet, the CEO of Accenture, is very appreciative of PM Modi’s leadership. As she says, “It was a great honor to meet with PM Modi and to hear more about his vision for the next decade.” She emphasized that the company is poised to grow even more in India because, according to her words, “It’s an exciting time for companies like ours to expand their business and have their teams in India serve a global clientele.”.
Similarly, HP Inc. CEO Enrique Lores also reflected the excitement of growing technology and manufacturing capabilities in India. He said that they would “expand their manufacturing capacity in the country” and pointed out to the prime minister their expansion plans in this regard, stating, “We were very proud to share our expansion plans with the Prime Minister.”.
Some of the global tech leaders were seen to participate in the roundtable as part of PM Modi’s efforts to bolster India’s ties with international technology firms. Ongoing improvements in digital infrastructure coupled with some landmark policy reforms have increasingly made India a hub of preference for tech giants.
