Andhra Pradesh latest news : The NDA government, which was founded in AP , has been implementing the election promises one by one. The government is trying to implement the promise of giving new ration cards after coming to power.
Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar said that the process of ration cards has been started and an announcement will be made once the design for these is complete. He said that if newly married people apply for ration cards, they will be given immediate priority. The minister clarified that everyone who is eligible will be given a ration card.
Kandipapu is Rs.150 per kg
Manohar said that the previous government had put Rs.1674 crore pending for the farmers and they are paying them. He said that even though there is a severe shortage of pulses across the country, the state is providing only Rs.150 per kg. He said that the number of ration cards in the state has reduced drastically and he has asked the central government to convert 60 lakh lamp connections under the Prime Minister’s Ujjwala scheme. Manohar stated that actually the gas connections given under this scheme are 6% and the central government has promised to increase the number of gas connections by allocating additional funds.

The minister rued that the green channel was set up and moved illegally during the previous government’s tenure. He said that injustice has been done to the farmers even in the matter of grain purchase and the government buys every crop grown by the farmers. He flagged that the previous government had wasted Rs. 1800 crores by acting in a cross-handed way by saying door to door ration distribution. Is it because of the increase in pensions or because the Polavaram works are going to start? Minister Manohar demanded that YS Jagan should answer why President’s rule should be imposed in AP as the Center has contributed to AP in the budget.
