Amaravati: An MLA awareness conference concluded in the AP Assembly Committee Hall. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu attended this conference. Speaking to the MLAs on this occasion, the CM said that Ranura MLAs are losing interest in learning the subject. “Now I am also taking note of who is talking about which subject. It will be useful for MLAs to study what kind of fund allocations are there in the central budget as well. Anything is possible if you are willing to work. Don’t think that there is no opposition in the House. They have no responsibility… but we do. Let us be accountable to the people. Assembly is a platform to tell people what they need… what we have done for people. “People always notice what the representative we send to the assembly speaks for us,” he said.
He said that the House needs a platform for such discussions,
people will not welcome it under any circumstances if they do not discuss the issues… The same happened in the past. He said that if the MLAs are unaware of what is happening in the departments, they do not know what the constituency needs. He said that everyone needs to be aware of the budget meetings. He suggested that the MLAs should be aware of the budget meetings… and share good ideas in the House. Every MLA should study the bills and policies brought by the government. MLAs will also be made partners in public governance. He said that the issues should be discussed in the House as people have a lot of hope and trust. They want the assembly to be a platform for meaningful discussions.
Comment on Vision-2047…
Successive success depends on our work and party structure. He said that 61 MLAs were elected from TDP, 15 from Janasena, four from BJP and four from YCP. He said that once the assembly proceedings were telecasted on All India Radio and Doordarshan, but now the technology has reached the point where they can be telecast live and on social media as well. He said that those who won as MLAs will formulate public policies in the House.. These policies will bring changes in public life. He reminded that in the past some MLAs were sent to foreign countries to study the fast growth rate achieved by those countries. He said that the policies we bring will show permanent solutions to the problems of the state. In the past, they used to discuss a subject for any length of time. He said that everyone’s views should be expressed on Vision-2047. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council should henceforth be a platform for good discussion and problem solving.
