Also, the Jagan government has stopped the salaries of the staff of Dravida University, which is in Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s own constituency, since one year. On learning this matter, State Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh released the pending wages of Rs.2.86 crores.
Minister Nara Lokesh lashed out at the previous government by not paying the salaries of the teachers who were supposed to teach the students and make them the best citizens. He said that the wages were released as soon as it came to his attention.
The minister said that the NDA government is working hard to improve the educational standards and make all the students of the state the best citizens. He said that in the last five years, the Jagan government has completely crippled the higher education sector, and all measures are being taken to put it back on track.
Even for guards and nurses
It is known that the government has also released the pending salaries of the guards and caretakers of the education department along with Dravida University staff. They were owed about Rs.65 crores across the state and they were paid. Materials needed to keep schools clean are purchased.
As their arrears are also around Rs.90 crores, the present government has also released them. From now on, the number of students present in the classroom of each school will be recorded on the board. The director of school education has issued instructions on this matter.
