Vijayawada: CPI state secretary Ramakrishna said that there is going to be a huge injustice to AP in the matter of irrigation projects. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is talking about the interlinking of rivers on the one hand… on the other hand, he accused the central government of trying to reduce the height of the Polavaram project. He said that if the height of Polavaram is reduced, Rs. 25 thousand crores will be saved for the Centre. Ramakrishna lamented that the capacity of the Eduma Canal is being reduced and the central government is trying to save funds.
CM Chandrababu is not giving clarity on this issue and demanded an answer from the Centre. The Krishna Tribunal has made the first allocations. They were angry that they were trying to reduce the allocations against the Partition Act. An all-party meeting was requested to be held on this matter. It is suggested that there should be a transparent discussion. They demanded the release of a white paper on projects and water allocations. Ramakrishna said that we hope that Chief Minister Chandrababu will make a good decision keeping in mind the interests of the poor people.
On November 18, they will give petitions to CM Chandrababu to give house plots at 2 cents in cities and 3 cents in villages. He said that this program will be carried out for a week. He said that during the elections they said that they will not burden the people, but now they are ready to put the burden of electricity charges on the people. He warned that since the AP assembly meetings are going on, protests will be held to reduce the prices of electricity charges from the 19th. He said that the Civil Supplies Minister has failed to reduce the prices of essential commodities. He said that there is no one who listens to the words of Chief Minister Chandrababu. CPI Ramakrishna has warned that they will start price movements from December.
