Meeting with bankers
CM Chandrababu asked to support the people who have suffered huge losses in flood affected areas. They wanted to simplify the rules and give loans to people. Chandrababu met representatives of bankers and insurance companies at the Collectorate to help the people who have suffered severely due to floods. The CM explained that thousands of houses were submerged, vehicles and electronic equipment were lost due to the Budameru flood. It is advised to settle vehicle and other insurance within 10 days for vehicles damaged in floods.
Rescheduling of Loans
He said that they are thinking how to help those who have insurance and those who do not. He said that the state government is in consultation with the central government and the RBI to help the flood victims as much as possible. CM Chandrababu said that two-wheelers and cars were completely submerged in water in many places due to sudden floods and all the equipment of the cottage industries was submerged in water. The CM clarified that many home appliances like fridges, TVs, ACs were damaged and the claims should be settled within 14 days.
Bankers help
It is stated that the necessary process should be completed quickly through the online system. Requested to reschedule the time limit of the loans of the people of the flood affected area. He said that the victims will be given an opportunity to apply for claims in the village and ward secretariats to grant loans on war basis. It is suggested to apply for claims with the help of the data available with the consumers as well as the data available with the municipal department and transport department. Bankers, insurance companies will announce their decision in two days on the proposals of the government.
