Story
Devara (Jr. NTR) Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan) along with his friends (Srikanth, Chacko) live in a hilly area in a dense forest on the shores of the Red Sea by going hunting in the sea. But seeing the lack of growth in their lives, Muraga (Murashi Sharma) gives them work to earn huge money. However, this gang moves the goods in the sea while the eyes of the authorities are closed. But Devara imposes restrictions not to go above sea for work given by Muruga. Bhaira makes a plan to kill Devara. Knowing that, Devara takes an unexpected decision.
Why did Devara impose restrictions on not going hunting on the sea? Why did Bhaira along with his friends want to kill Devara who was his best friend? Knowing the conspiracy against him, Devara went to sea without telling anyone? Bhaira asks why he wants to show fear to the gang. Why did Devara’s son (Vara) become a coward? How did Varato Thangam’s (Jahnvi Kapoor) romance go? Has Devara finally returned? What did Vara do for four villages? The story of Devara movie is the answer to these questions.
Yeti mafia plans to bomb stadiums where World Cup cricket matches will be held in India. With that, Raw officers (Ajay’s team) start hunting for the Yeti..they go to the Ratnagiri area on the border of Tamil Nadu and Andhra. The movie becomes emotional with the story of Prakash Raj telling you that if you are looking for the Yeti.. first you need to know about Devara. Junior NTR’s combination scenes with Saif are powerful and the first half of the movie is going to be interesting. It was good to end the first half with a huge twist.
After Devara disappears in the second half, the love track between his son Vara and Thangam and some action scenes, Koratala Shiva’s way of directing the story is impressive. From the pre-climax to the last scene, the story and twists in the scenes are in a range. Planning a twist related to Devara in the Baahubali range will give fans a new feeling as high moments.
Performance
When it comes to the performance of the actors… Junior NTR looked very dignified in both the roles. There is nothing new to say about Young Tiger in emotional scenes. He tried to make the fans scream with Janhvi Kapoor in fights and romantic scenes. As long as Janhvi Kapoor is around, she is bound by her glamour. Saif Ali Khan has cultivated a new villainy. Srikanth, Ajay, Prakash Raj and Janhvi Kapoor seem similar in the scope of their roles.
Anirudh’s music and Ratnavelu’s cinematography are the strength of the movie Devara. These two sections have brought a range to the film. It can be said that Anirudh’s background score has elevated the scenes immensely. Ratnavelu captured the sea coast, hills and forest area well. The production values followed by NTR Arts and Yuva Sudha banner are good.
When it comes to the movie Devara… it is a different genre movie with emotional and powerful characters. Coming solo after 6 years, NTR’s film is there to give fans a festive atmosphere. Fans who go for Janhvi Kapoor and the average movie buff are in for a bit of a disappointment. Rather than the story.. the story is good. Commercial elements are inserted in the second half rather than the first half. Doing it in two parts seems like a bit of a stretch.
