Uttarakhand: A fatal bus accident took place in Uttarakhand. The accident took place today (Monday) near Kupi in Ramnagar on Almora border. Locals informed the police that the bus lost control and fell into the valley. After getting the information, the SDRF and police immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations. They are trying to get the injured out of the bus. An ambulance also reached the spot. Officials concluded that the bus belonged to Garhwal Motor Company. There were 50 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. Seven people died on the spot. Officials have estimated that the death toll is likely to increase. Orders have been issued suspending the RTO of the Puri-Almora-related area. The CM ordered to provide an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 1 lakh to the injured. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered the Commissioner Kuman Division to conduct a judicial inquiry into the incident.
