The firing by the police in the early hours of Friday morning in Hyderabad’s Nampally caused a stir. On receiving information that a chain snatching gang was roaming in the city, Nampally police swooped in to catch the gang.
While trying to find the passengers in this order, the gang caught the eye of the police at Nampally railway station. When the police tried to catch the thieves, they attacked them with axes. As part of self-defence, R Constable fired with his gun. The accused Raju was injured in the firing. The last three thieves were detained by the police.
