AP government is taking steps towards implementation of promises. Taking a series of decisions. Officials are working on the implementation of the Super Six promises made before the elections.
As a part of that, pensions have already been increased to Rs 4,000 and are being implemented. Salute to Mother issued implementation guidelines. And…the time has almost been finalized for the implementation of free bus travel for women.
Government exercise
Chandrababu announced that he will implement the Super Six schemes if he comes to power in AP. The exercise towards the implementation of free bus travel for women is continuing. The government has already asked RTC officials for reports on the implementation of this scheme in Karnataka and Telangana. How many women are traveling per day..how much is the burden…what kind of problems are coming in the implementation..the authorities have prepared a full report on the measures to be taken.
Officers’ Reports
The authorities are finalizing on which category of buses this opportunity should be given to women. It is the government’s intention to implement this scheme in all routes across the state. However, the officials suggested that if the scheme is implemented with the existing buses, there will be no problems for the common passengers. There are suggestions to postpone the scheme until new buses are taken. However, it seems that the government is leaning towards the implementation of the scheme.
The moment is final
After all, on August 15, Chief Minister Chandrababu took a principled decision to start this scheme in Visakhapatnam. The government has already decided to open Anna canteens on this day. With this, the authorities are preparing a final report on the burden incurred by the management of this scheme. It seems likely that the government will take a final decision towards implementation after discussing these reports in the cabinet meeting on 16th of this month.
