Paralympics 2024 : Avani Lekhara, Mona Aggarwal, Indian athletes showed their strength in the women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1 event at the Paris Paralympics.
Avani Lekhara bagged the gold medal while Mona Aggarwal bagged the bronze medal in the event. With this, two Indian athletes have won medals in the same event. Avani had earlier created history at the Tokyo Paralympics by becoming the first Indian athlete to win gold at the Paralympics.
She also won a bronze medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3-positions SH1 at the same Olympics. Now there is joy in the home country for Avani winning gold again.
