IAS woman officer Shailbala Martin from Madhya Pradesh posted an article on X, following which there was a lot of uproar on the social media platform.
Here, IAS Shailbala, responding to one journalist’s tweet, has questioned the noise pollution caused by loudspeakers in the temples. BJP has reacted to this tweet. And Congress has come out in their support.
She wrote that no one has any problem with the loudspeakers in temples, which spread noise pollution from speakers far away in many streets and keep playing till midnight.
Congress spokesperson Abbas Hafeez has defended Shailbala Martin’s comments. He said that the BJP government’s action against loudspeakers is politically motivated. Meanwhile, the President of Sanskriti Bachao Manch, Pandit Chandrashekhar Tiwari has criticized Martin.
Who is Shailbala Martin?
Shailbala Martin is an IAS officer of the 2009 batch. She is currently working as Additional Secretary, General Administration Department, Madhya Pradesh. She hails from the Indore circle. During her long service career so far, she has been given very important responsibilities to handle. Martin was the Collector of Niwari district and the Municipal Commissioner of Burhanpur. Interestingly, at the age of 56, Martin is unmarried, and the wedding announcement makes it more important.
Martin was in the civil service of Madhya Pradesh since 2009. Later, Martin was promoted to IAS in 2017.
