Stock Market : Domestic stock market indices have once again registered new records. Our markets also jumped with positive signals from international markets.
This is the twelfth consecutive day of gains for the indices. Mainly the shares of ICICI, Infosys and Bharti Airtel were the gainers for the indices. Sensex and Nifty ended at record highs.
The Sensex opened the morning at a lifetime high of 82,637.03 points (previous close 82,134.61), a gain of nearly 500 points. Although the profit decreased a bit later.. the same trend continued. It finally closed at 82,365.77 with a gain of 231.16 points. The Nifty closed at 25,235.90 with a gain of 83.95 points. The rupee is at 83.86 against the dollar.
In the Sensex 30 index, shares of Bajaj Finance, Mahindra and Mahindra, NTPC, Bajaj Finserv and Bharti Airtel were major gainers. Shares of Tata Motors, Reliance, ITC, Tech Mahindra and HDFC Bank lost. In the international market, the price of a barrel of Brent crude is 79.80 dollars. An ounce of gold is trading at 2557 dollars.
Paytm share soared: Paytm share rose today in the wake of the Centre’s approval for investment in Paytm Payment Services Limited. It touched a six-month high of Rs.631 intraday. In the end, it gained 12.70 percent to close at Rs.624.90 on the NSE. It is known that it touched a 52-week low of Rs.310 on May 9 this year.
