It said that they are trying to divide the voters by creating fake news websites and impersonating social activists. It is said that the focus is on the key states that will affect the results of the elections (US Elections). It is noteworthy that in the report submitted by Microsoft, the teams involved in these types of activities and the procedures they are following have been clearly mentioned. Iran’s intention behind these actions has not been disclosed.
Many US officials have recently accused Iran of campaigning against Republican candidate Trump. On the other hand, it has been revealed that fake news websites have also been created with the aim of smearing Trump. It has been found that they have tried to influence some officials who are playing a key role in the election process by claiming to be social activists.
