IT employees in trouble…

Information Technology Employees

It is not known whether it is due to the financial crisis.. the lack of new projects.. or the effect of artificial intelligence.. the lack of new technology. All the small companies, including the leading companies, are laying off IT employees in a big way. Due to this, many people fall on the road. With this, they are coming to the opinion that IT job is not that safe. From January 1 to June 21, 2024, companies have fired 98,834 IT employees worldwide. These calculations are only for the IT sector. It is scary to imagine how much this figure will be if the other sectors are included.

The condition of IT employees is worse. Reports say that 500 people are losing their jobs every day. According to the data of All India IT and ITES Employees Union, 20 thousand IT employees will lose their jobs in 2023 under silent layoffs. But it seems that this number is likely to be higher. It seems that in the first 5 months of 2024, around 2,000 to 3,000 IT employees from leading IT companies have lost their lives due to silent layoffs in India.

Instead of firing the employee directly, the companies ask him to find another job after thirty days. This is called silent layoffs. Within 30 days the employee has to leave his company regardless of whether he finds a job in another company. Otherwise the company directly terminates the employee. If it says terminated in the relieving letter, it will be difficult to find a job in another company. As a result, IT employees are facing hell everyday as they cannot go to other companies. Their condition is like a sword.
