Bharat Rashtra Samithi chief, opposition leader KCR’s grandson, former minister KTR’s son Kalvakuntla Himanshu Rao... has posted a photo of himself with future British Prime Minister Keir Stormer on his official X account.
He got a chance to meet Stormer last year when he went to London for an academic study tour of the House of Commons. He was a member of parliament at that time. He ran as a Labor Party candidate from Holburn and St Pancras and won. The Labor Party won the recent British Parliament elections with a huge majority. Starmer was elected as the prime ministerial candidate.
To celebrate this, Himanshu Rao shared a photo with him. Congratulated him. The occasion for taking the photo was revealed. Congratulation to Keir Starmer who was elected as the new Prime Minister of Britain. This tweet was tagged to him.
Keir Stormer was born in London in 1962. Later he moved to Oxted in Surrey with his family. Father was a tool maker. Mother is a nurse. He entered politics at the age of 16. Joined the Labor Party. He completed his Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Leeds. Post Graduation in Civil Law from Oxford University.
After completing his studies, he gained a good reputation as a child rights barrister. Worked as a Human Rights Adviser to the Northern Ireland Policing Board. He served as Director of Public Prosecutions from 2008 to 2013. He was elected as an MP for the first time in 2015.
Elected as Labor Party Chief in 2020. Jeremy Corbyn, who had been in that position until then, resigned after the party lost the 2019 election. This gave Starmer that chance. Starmer is a staunch vegetarian. He continued in the Labor Party and organized many movements against meat eating.
