Thulasendrapuram: Wishing the victory of the Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris in the US Presidential Elections (US Elections 2024), a special pooja was performed in her hometown Thulasendrapuram in Tamilnadu. Local people offered pooja and prayers at Ammavari temple there for the victory of Kamala Harris. Harris’ grandfather (maternal father) PP Gopalan was born in this village a hundred years ago. After that he went to Chennai and retired as a government servant.
Meanwhile, in Tulsendrapuram village, the local people enthusiastically participated in the temple ceremony, wishing for the success of Harris. Arul Moli Sudhakar, a local royalist leader, put up a banner outside the temple wishing that the daughter born on their soil would win the US presidential election. Kamala Harris and her grandfather’s names are among the names of the donors on a plaque in the temple. Sudhakar said that Kamala Harris is one of them and that she will win, and once her victory is announced, a special pooja will be held on Wednesday and food will be given.
Four years ago, Tulsendrapuram also attracted international attention. Locals prayed for the victory of Harris Democratic Party in 2020. Even when she was elected as the Vice President of America, there was noise by bursting firecrackers and donating food.
