Akkina Muni Koteswara Rao of Rajamahendravaram got an opportunity to be a member of the governing body of Thi Rumala Tirupati Devasthanam. Hailing from Sitanagaram Mandal Raghudevapura, he has established permanent residence in the city for decades and built a Kailasa land in his native village three years ago with his funds of one crore rupees.
Later he handed over his water plant to the village. He donated to the temple works of Goddess Padmavati. A year and a half ago, a water plant was built in Rajampet at a cost of Rs.26 lakh. He stopped mid the CI course in Chennai and entered the business sector.
Koteswara Rao said that he is indebted to the coalition government for providing him the opportunity to be a member of the Tirumala Tirupati board. At the same time, the construction of the Venkateswara Swamy temple and water plant was being completed at Raghudevapuram with a cost of Rs.5 crore. It is a happy thing that CM Chandrababu Naidu recognized his services. He said he was happy to get the opportunity to serve the Lord. When Chandrababu Naidu was arrested and in the Central Jail, Chandrababu’s family members stayed in Koteswara Rao’s residence in Rajahmundry for 53 days.
