Latest News in India: The RBI has made it clear that it is a myth that ten rupee coins are invalid. “Any coin of any design or shape is valid and no one should refuse to take them,” it said. It warns that refusing will be punishable under the law. A large number of Rs.10 coins are lying in the banks as no traders outside have withdrawn them, it said. Steps are being taken to increase public awareness about coins.
