MahaShanti Yagam at Srivari Temple Tirumala

The MahaShanti Yagam at the Srivari Temple has begun in earnest. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu ordered to hold a expiation program in the wake of the laddu controversy.

Accordingly, the priests are conducting Maha Shanti Yaga in the temple today from 6 am to 10 am. After offering the morning offerings to Srivara, the priests started the Maha Shanti Yaga ritual in three yajna kundas in the yagashala near the golden porch.

First the Punya Vachana program was held and then the Maha Shanti Yaga was started. Finally, the Vastu Homam will be performed and then the Maha Shanthi Yag will end with Panchagavya materials like milk, curd, ghee, cow dung and cow urine being offered in the stream of Annaprasad and Laddu. Along with 8 priests and three Agamapandits, the couple of EO Shyamala Rao participated in this program.
