Telugu cinema is very accustomed to sequels and franchises. Mattu Vadalara 2 is a film made in that category. Renowned music director Keeravani’s son Sri Simha Koduri met with Mattu Vadalara as the protagonist and got good success. The sequel to that film is the same team’s effort. Lets get the details of Mattu Vadalara 2. How is this movie? Is it more entertaining than the first part?
Mattu Vadalara 2 Story: As the jobs of delivery agents are cut off, Babu Mohan (Sreesimha) and Yesu (Satya) join the high emergency team as special agents. They solve kidnapping cases and arrest the accused. In that order, they smuggle a small amount of money by showing their sleight of hand, taking care not to raise any suspicion. A decision will be made that how long will it take to earn little by little, and if it is hit, it will hit the Kumbha place. In that case, a case of kidnapping comes. It is a case related to transactions of Rs.2 crores. They enter the field with the strategy of solving the case and getting Rs. 2 crores related to it. But, unexpectedly, the kidnapped young woman is found dead in their car. A video with proof that they did the kidnapping is also out. Who did the murder? Did Babu Mohan and Jesus get out of this case? Or has their desire to earn money come true?
Mattu Vadalara 2 Review (How is it): As a sequel, comparisons with the previous film begin. Is there much comedy in it? Whether the drama is ripe at that level will be calculated. Directors and writers take care in terms of writing to keep it in mind. When compared to that, the film looks inferior to the first part in every way. However, the movie (Mattu Vadalara 2 Movie) will pass due to trend writing, mischief done by Sathya and other actors and technical touches. Lack of sparkle in terms of story and narration is the major flaw of this movie.
Similar to the first movie, Babu Mohan and Yesudas hope for money, plan for smuggling, Tira Katha gets stuck in problems again and again, the songs to get out of them, the songs create humor. This is the same as Mattu vadalara 2. The ‘Ori Naa…’ serial from the first movie will continue in this one as well. If not, this time due to the lack of strength in the writing, the first movie (Mattu Vadalara) naturally does not produce that much humor.
The director started the movie by showing how the delivery agents have become special agents and how their smuggling is progressing this time. All those scenes spread laughter. The drama in the story starts from the kidnapping case involving Rs.2 crores. Unexpectedly, the kidnapping case wraps around the necks of the main characters and their efforts to get out of it are impressive. Interlude scenes give a good twist to the story and increase the interest in the second half. How both of them get out of the murder case becomes crucial in the second half. The sequence of the main characters finding out how they were framed in the case and discovering the real mastermind turned the movie into an investigation drama. In that sequence, the dose of comedy seems to be reduced. Overall punches with one liners, Satya’s rampage, trendy dialogues and references to top star films made the movie buzz. In this type of films, one should enjoy the wit but not think about the logic.
Who made it: Srisimha and Satya’s buzz together is the main strength of this film. Especially Satya’s timing is the main attraction of this film (Mattu Vadalara 2). Sreesimha appeared on the screen equally smart. Faria Abdullah appears as a member of the He-Team and shares a sense of humor. She made noise in some action moments. Along with Rohini, who appeared as the boss of He-Team, the roles of Sunil, Vennela Kishore, Ajay and others are crucial in the story. Technically the movie is superior. Kala Bhairava’s music is the main strength of the film. The camera and editing departments have also done well. Director Ritesh Rana’s dialogues mark laughs. Could not show much impact in terms of story. The structure is superior.
