AP CM Chandrababu conducted a review on Roads and Buildings Department on Friday. Inquired about the construction and condition of roads. Officials brought to CM’s attention that Jagan’s government has not even filled the potholes. The officials explained that the bills of the contractors have not been paid and no one is coming forward with the previous government’s style. Officials said that Rs.300 crore is needed immediately to fill the potholes. The CM ordered to call tenders for urgent works and start the work immediately.
He said that the previous government did not pay attention to the condition of the roads and the motorists and people have seen hell for five years. The CM suggested that work should be started to change this situation. They want to start the process of repairing the damaged roads. He said that there is a problem of potholes on 4,151 km of roads in the state. He said that there are 2,936 km of roads that need to be repaired immediately. Chief Minister Chandrababu directed the officials to immediately take up works within the total area of 7,087 km in the state.
