The student unions of SIF, AISF, PDSU, PDSO and NSUI have demanded the cancellation of NTA and the resignation of the Union Education Minister. Modi said that there have been 65 incidents of paper leakage in the last five years, and students are suffering due to paper leakage, and he asked to discuss this in the Parliament and do justice.
The leaders of the student unions alleged that the future of the students has been threatened in the name of One Nation-One Exam and that the entire examination system has collapsed. The SFI Central Executive Committee has called for a nationwide bandh on July 4 to protest the failure of the NTA to conduct national level examinations and the attack on the education system in the country.
The bandh will be held on eight demands, demanding the abolition of the NTA system and compensation to the students who appeared for the NEET examination. He also demanded the resignation of the Union Education Minister. Further, student unions have demanded withdrawal of the recently approved mandatory net score system for PhD admissions in universities, institutes of higher learning and research institutes.
For the achievement of all these demands, the leaders of the student unions have called to participate in Vidyarthi Lokam Bandh, class boycott, rally and protest activities.
