There is confusion all over the country regarding the conduct of the NEET UG-2024 (NEET UG-2024) exam which is conducted for the filling of medical seats across the country. I request the Center to respect the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu. Education should be brought from the joint list to the state list. As a temporary solution, the constitution should be amended to create a ‘separate joint list’. He suggested that education and health should be included in it.
Recently Tamil Nadu government has taken a crucial decision. The state assembly unanimously decided to cancel the NEET exam. It requested the central government to provide an opportunity to the state governments to fill up medical seats and to allocate seats on the basis of class 12 marks as before. When Chief Minister MK Stalin introduced the resolution in the House, the opposition leaders as well as the ruling party approved it. On that occasion, DMK MP Kanimozhi reminded that Tamil Nadu has repeatedly said that NEET should not be conducted. It is stated that students are losing a lot due to this exam.
It is known that the NEET UG 2024 exam was conducted on May 5 under the auspices of the National Testing Agency (NTA). Around 24 lakh students appeared for this exam in 4,570 centers across the country. However.. 67 students getting 720 out of 720 marks. Moreover, the first rank of many students who appeared in the same center led to suspicions.
