The excise department is ready to give notification to new liquor shops in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The cabinet has given its approval to amend the law brought by the previous government.
The governor is likely to approve the ordinance by tomorrow. With this, there is a chance that the government will release a notification for allotment of 3,736 liquor shops in two or three days. Out of this, the government will reserve 340 shops for stonemasonry workers.
The government has taken up the collection of details about the population of Kallu Gita professionals in which district and which constituencies. After collecting the details, the Excise Department will take the details from the BC Welfare Department. After that the Excise Department will finalize the reservations. During the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government, a law was made to allow the government to run liquor shops. The state cabinet has already given its approval to bring an ordinance amending that law. This ordinance is likely to be approved by the Governor soon.
