CM Vijayan said that the Prime Minister will visit the landslide affected areas and he has responded positively to the rehabilitation of the victims.
According to their request, the Union Home Ministry has agreed to form a committee with 9 experts. He said that this expert committee will assess the severity of the disaster and give a report. As many as 131 people have been found missing in this incident. He said that the search for them will continue. It is noteworthy that Modi’s visit comes at a time when there are demands to declare the Wayanad tragedy as a national disaster.
