New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that there is a need to encourage the youth to realize the dreams of Viksit Bharat. He called upon everyone to join the idea of a developed India and to contribute their share for a developed India wherever they are. The Prime Minister addressed the 200th anniversary of the famous Sri Swaminarayan Mandir at Vadtal in Gujarat through video conference.
“I, you, we all should encourage people for a developed India. Especially the thinking of the youth should be encouraged and the dreams of a developed India should be realized. In order to realize the dream of development India, the country should first achieve self-sufficiency. No outside help will come for this, we have to achieve it ourselves. Go ahead with ‘Vocal for Local’ promotion. This is possible only if we work together. Some want to divide the country in the name of caste and gender discrimination for personal gain. This is unfortunate. Pradani directed that such forces should be defeated.
Lord Swaminarayan used to teach that only by sharpening the ideas of the youth, any country can go on the path of development, and for that, educating the youth and having expert youth is indispensable. He said that whenever he goes abroad, they want the youth of India to come and work in their country, and the youth should be equipped not only to solve the problems of the country but also to solve the problems of the world. He said that it is very important to ensure that the youth do not fall under the influence of drugs. He said that we should all work in that direction and only when we are vigilant about such matters will the country move towards development. The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of Swaminarayanan community for de-addiction. He said that there is a lot of effort being done by saints and mahatmas to prevent the youth from getting affected by drugs. Taking Ayodhya as an example, after 500 years the dream of all of us has come true, the way Kashi and Kethar Kshetras have been renovated is right before our eyes, new consciousness and new revolution is seen everywhere. Not only this, but we are seeing the idols of our deities who were abducted thousands of years ago, returning to their shrines and being measured. The Prime Minister praised that Swaminarayan Vandir has had a tremendous impact on the social and spiritual life of the people for many decades.
