Business: Schwarzkopf announced celebrity hair colorists Jacob Schwartz as U.S. hair color trend ambassador and Tracey Cunningham as U.S. creative director of color and technique on Wednesday.
His association with Schwartz goes until the end when he closes another chapter of working with his A-list clients, which will be some interesting ones, including Margot Robbie, on Schwarzkopf professional formulas. Schwartz started working with Schwarzkopf earlier in 2023 for its BlondMe range in collaboration with Mattel, teaching the colorist how to achieve the iconic blonde color.
From here, Schwartz, who works alongside Cunningham at Mèche Salon, then reintroduced her to Schwarzkopf, which led her to make the switch to the brand at her co-owned salon.
“Tracey and Jacob are synonymous with servicing the Hollywood elite and forever being at the forefront of fashion-forward hair trends. Their commitment to color excellence made them the ultimate partners,” said Michelle Chandler, general manager of Schwarzkopf Professional U.S.
“Though working with A-list talent every day puts their color expertise on center stage, it was actually what was in their hearts and willingness to share and educate through their techniques that drew us to Tracey and Jacob. Through Schwarzkopf Professional’s continued education for colorists, these partnerships will drive clients to request Schwarzkopf Professional products in the salon to recreate their favorite celebrity looks. Wherever clients may live, they can be assured that salons carrying Schwarzkopf Professional will give their colorist the tools to deliver their desired look.”
The hair care brand owned by Henkel said the announcement is part of its strategy to further expand its presence in North America as the German brand grows its network of ambassadors. Schwarzkopf tapped Chris Appleton, as a global color ambassador of Schwarzkopf last year.
