NASA’s efforts to bring astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore back to Earth are succeeding.
The Crew-9 mission undertaken by NASA and SpaceX was launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on Saturday night. A few hours later, early Monday morning, SpaceX Crew-9 successfully arrived at the space station.
NASA and SpaceX were supposed to launch the Crew-9 mission on the 26th of this month, but the launch of the mission was postponed due to adverse weather conditions in the Gulf of Mexico and the west coast of Florida. Crew-9 mission was launched again on Saturday evening. If this is the case.. Sunita Williams and Butch Willmore, who went to the space station in the month of June 2024 by Boeing Starliner, got stuck there due to technical errors that arose in it.
However, NASA has started efforts to bring them back. NASA has determined that it is too dangerous to bring astronauts aboard the Starliner. The spacecraft returned to Earth in September. NASA launched SpaceX’s Crew-9 mission to bring Sunita Williams and Willmore back to Earth, trapped in the space station.
