Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that the development works should be started in every village immediately. After the start of the coalition rule, the panchayats have been freed from the problem of funds.
He said that the problem of funds will not arise as the Center has provided funds of Rs.1987 crores from the 15th Finance Commission and Rs.4500 crores through NREGS to the state within the first hundred days of the administration. Officials were directed to start development works in every panchayat from October 14.
Pawan Kalyan conducted a review with officials of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department on Friday. The works approved in the Gram Sabhas and the commencement of the works to be undertaken with the funds of the 15th Finance Commission were discussed in this meeting. The officials explained to him that resolutions have been made for employment guarantee works in 13,326 Panchayats and the details of the works and working days to be undertaken to that extent.
He Launched website and dashboard. He directed that the works started should be monitored from time to time and the work should be started as a festival for a week from October 14. They want to organize programs related to the start of work in panchayats till 20th. Local MLAs, MPs and MLCs should be involved in this.
