The results of the US presidential election are coming out. Indian-origin Suhas Subramanyam won the House of Representatives. He won for the Democratic Party from Virginia’s 10th Congressional District.
Previously, Subrahmanyam worked as a tech policy advisor under former US President Obama. He started his political career in 2020. Elected to the Virginia Senate.
Another leader of Indian origin, Raja Krishnamoorthi, won in the House of Representatives. He ran for the Democratic Party from Illinois’ 8th Congressional District and won. He defeated his opponent Mark Rick from the Republican Party by more than 30 thousand votes. In 2016, he went to the House of Representatives from there for the first time. Worked as a member of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party.
