Business: TCS, Tata Group company, signed a multi-year deal with airline group Air France-KLM on Thursday. TCS will help the airline become a data-centric airline in the world.
TCS will migrate the data of the airline group to the cloud over the next three years as part of its modernization.
This move will help Air France-KLM clear the way for departure from the data centers and harness the power of the cloud in support of a more sustainable aviation industry, according to Tata Group’s IT company. The advanced data infrastructure will help make better use of data so that operations can be elevated, with informed decision-making and functionality improvement in confluence with efficiency enhancement.
TCS has partnered with Air France-KLM for 30 years to enhance reliability, presence on social media, customer service, and e-commerce. The digital innovation of the IT company, like online queuing at airport lounges and getting boarding passes through social media, increases passenger convenience.
The IT company will assist KLM in its aim of moving into the cloud its critical systems and core business data-focusing on the important sectors that include flight operations, passenger information, aircraft maintenance, and the airlines’ e-commerce platforms.
The data will also be helpful to the airline in streamlining its operations with innovations focused on offering customers a better flying experience.
