Paralympics 2024 Games started in Paris with a bang. For the first time, the celebrations started in an open space at Dila Concorde.
French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Stormer, Czech Republic President Peter Pavel, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and many other dignitaries attended the celebrations. Martial arts legend and veteran actor Jackie Chan made a splash with the Paralympics torch. A large number of sports fans came from abroad. Cultural programs organized as part of the celebrations were entertaining.
A total of 4,400 athletes from 168 countries are participating in the 11-day Paralympics. The Games will end on September 8. 84 athletes stood in the ring for India this time. This is the first time to participate in Paralympics with so many people. Earlier, 54 players went to Tokyo.
