Latest news India : Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested in the case related to liquor policy (Delhi Excise Scam Case), does not seem to be released from jail now.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to grant him interim bail in the CBI case related to this scam. CBI has issued notices on the petition filed by Kejriwal against the arrest.
It is known that Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI at the end of June in connection with the liquor policy. Since then he is in CBI judicial custody. Challenging this arrest, he first approached the Delhi High Court.. there was no relief. The High Court upheld the arrest as legal. Challenging this, Kejriwal (Delhi CM Kejriwal) filed a petition in the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court, which recently conducted an inquiry into this, refused to grant interim bail to the CM in this case. Later, issuing notices to the CBI, the next hearing was postponed to August 23. On the other hand, it is known that the Supreme Court has already granted him interim bail on July 12 in the ED case. But he could not be released from jail because he was arrested in a CBI case.
