Business: Welspun Living Ltd, the home textiles major, posted a marginal rise in net profit at Rs 202 crore ($24 million) for the second quarter ended September 30, compared with Rs 200 crore for the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The company’s revenue for the quarter was up by Rs 2,873 crore from Rs 2,509 crore for the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. Welspun incurred total expenses for the quarter at Rs 2,656 crore against Rs 2,283 crore in the same quarter last year.
Commenting on the results, managing director CEO of Welspun Living Ltd Dipali Goenka in a statement said, “We are proud to announce that it is the company’s highest ever quarterly revenues during Q2FY25 and with a growth of 15.5% for the quarter. Our unique innovative solutions and unmatched quality provide back to our consumers help to reinstate our position of being the FMCG of textiles.”
