Amaravati: YCP MLC Varudu Kalyani criticized the annual budget presented by the alliance government in the AP Assembly. Speaking at the media point of the assembly on Monday, he said that the coalition government has set a worst record in the history of the country by implementing the Otan budget for seven months. He commented that the alliance budget is like burning a raft after crossing the border. He said that many schemes have been given but funds have not been allocated in the budget. He expressed anger that people were cheated by the coalition government. They said that they would give 20,000 annually to the farmers.. Only Rs. 5,000 crores have been invested. He said that only Rs. 5300 crores have been allocated for Mother’s Salutation Scheme.
They were angry that people are being misled by allocating half and half. He said that there is no allocation of funds for Mahashakti scheme which gives 1500 per month to women. 50 lakh unemployed people will be given unemployment benefit at the rate of 3 thousand per month.. He asked where the funds are. He demanded to know when the funds have not been allocated in the budget for the free bus. He said that there are no funds for education and accommodation. He said that the honorarium for volunteers has not been increased to Rs.10 thousand. He asked where are the funds for the price stabilization fund for farmers’ crops. They asked where the funds for the insurance scheme for lorry, auto, taxi drivers and fishermen are. He said that the state government had deceived the people by trusting them. He commented that people were cheated by deception. MLC Varudu Kalyani made it clear that YCP will fight to fulfill all the promises made in the manifesto.
