TDP revealed reports that beef fat and fish oil were mixed in the ghee used to make Tirupati Laddu. The TDP has revealed the evidence for beef was mixed in the ghee used in making Tirumala Laddu.
TDP leader Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy released the reports of various labs that tested the ghee to the media. Only 19 percent of the ghee supplied by the contractors to TTD was found to contain ghee.
Ghee supplied to TTD is tested at NDDB CALF Lab which is famous in the country. In this ghee, soybean, safflower, olive, wheat bean, corn, cotton seed, along with fish oil, beef tallow, palm oil and pork fat are also there.
Chandrababu Naidu announced in a meeting of alliance MLAs that beef fat was sold in Tirumala Laddu. Immediately there was a big uproar on this topic. Former TTD Chairman YV Subbareddy has announced that he will file a defamation suit against Chandrababu. They demanded to reveal the evidence.
Soon after that, Telugu Desam Party’s disclosure of evidence to this extent became a sensation. Immediately after assuming responsibility as TTD EO, the current EO Shyamala Rao.. got the ghee tested and immediately blacklisted the contractor.
Until the YCP government came to power, TTD used to buy pure cow ghee from Nandini Dairy in the Karnataka government sector. But Nandi said that they could not supply the dairy due to the lowest price. Did not participate in tenders either. The highest quality ghee is Rs. 1000 but TTD Rs. TDP leader Anam Venkataramana Reddy alleged that the tenders were called to supply 320K.
