Business Updates: The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council brought together the jewelry and diamond fraternity to raise funds for charity at its ninth edition of ‘Jewellers for Hope’. This noble initiative was supported by associate partners De Beers and the World Gold Council, with the presence of Bollywood celebrity Kareena Kapoor Khan.

The event was powered by the Gemological Institute of America and featured a charity dinner whose proceeds were given to two NGOs: Miam Charitable Trust and the Gem and Jewellery National Relief Foundation. On its roster so far, Jewellers for Hope has donated to 14 NGOs and raised multiple crore rupees.
“Jewellers for Hope is an annual event where GJEPC mobilizes our entire industry to raise funds for organizations dedicated to education, health, women empowerment, and welfare of the marginalized communities”, said GJEPC chairman Vipul Shah. “Since inception in 2014, Jewellers for Hope has contributed crores to NGOs and created a positive impact in many lives.”
