Business Updates: Eyewear and eye care business Lenskart is launching a new range of Harry Potter glasses as a result of its collaboration with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products. According to reports, the business has launched a new line for men and women, specifically designed to engage the fans of the fictional franchise.
The co-founder of Lenskart, Ramneek Khurana, explained in an official press release, “We are more than thrilled to be partnering with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products to bring this magical collection to our customers. We believe these glasses transcend the realms of being just a fashion accessory; they are a medium of expression for fans to proclaim their love for the world of Harry Potter and carrying a part of that magic with them throughout their day.”.
It has taken inspiration for frames in its new collection from the four different ‘houses’ at Hogwarts school into which its students are sorted. Other emblems from the Harry Potter series of books and films—such as the ‘Deathly Hallows’ symbol and ‘Elder Wand’ are etched into the temple tips of frames and as a temple motif respectively.
The Hogwarts school crest can also be found on nose pads in the line. By coming up with discreet emblems and designs, Lenskart has made eyeglasses every day wear. The Harry Potter collection launched across all brick and mortar stores of Lenskart and on its direct to customer e-commerce store.
