Lifestyle: Do you share your mobile number at a shopping mall?
Retailers at shopping malls, supermarkets, and other places take a customer’s mobile number before billing. However, the Central Consumer Affairs Department has stated that sharing one’s mobile number with the retailer is optional. Consumers can refuse to share their phone numbers with the shop from now on, the department announced on their Twitter handle.
