Gam Gam Ganesha Review:

Rating: 2.5/5

After the hit movie “Baby,” Anand Deverakonda returns with a crime comedy titled “Gam Gam Ganesha.” Directed by Uday Bommisetty, the film hit the theaters today. Let’s dive into the review.

Ganesh (Anand Deverakonda) and his buddy (Emmanuel) are small-time crooks. Ganesh is in love with Shruti (Nayan Sarika), but life throws him a major curveball. Determined to make it big, Ganesh plans a massive heist, but things go awry. The movie follows Ganesh’s journey as he tries to succeed despite the setbacks.

Anand Deverakonda shines in a completely different role from his previous film. His performance, energy, and comedic timing are commendable. Emmanuel, as Anand’s sidekick, is spot on, and their chemistry brings out some great comic moments. Vennela Kishore steals the show with his hilarious portrayal of Organ David, providing ample laughs.

The director’s focus on entertainment over storytelling is a major drawback. The story feels stagnant in several scenes, especially in the second half, where the narrative loses momentum. The core plot is neither unique nor engaging, and the film feels like a rehash of many similar crime comedies. The female leads, Nayan Sarika and Pragati Srivastava look good but have minimal roles.

The emotional elements in the second half come off as forced, and the themes of greed and conspiracy are not well-developed. While some scenes are funny, the overall connection to the characters and story is lacking.

Technical Aspects:

Chaitan Bhardwaj’s songs are pleasant, but the background score could use improvement. Aditya Javvadi’s cinematography is decent, and the production values are solid. The editing by Karthika Srinivas R is satisfactory. Uday Bommisetty’s direction, however, falls short. The screenplay lacks novelty and fails to maintain a gripping narrative.

Gam Gam Ganesha” is a letdown after Anand Deverakonda’s “Baby.” The predictable story and weak narrative structure do not do justice to the cast’s performances. Despite some humorous moments, the film fails to provide a satisfying experience. Overall, it’s a mediocre entertainer that doesn’t leave a lasting impression.
